Chuck E Cheese

We have had so much fun this week spending time with my friend Jen and her two daughters who are visiting from Brooklyn, NY. They used to live 2 blocks from us and moved to NYC this past spring. They are so much fun for us to be around and we miss them like crazy. It has been such a blessing for us to see them!

Good 'ole Chuck! This week we met our friends Jen and Kendra and their kids for lunch at Chuck E Cheese. This was our first time there and Makayla loved it. She had to watch her friend Amelia demonstrate how to work the rides a few times before she took the plunge but eventually she was all over the place. Her favorite part was putting the tokens in the machines and I had to stop her from putting too many in. It was really fun watching the kids have so much fun although I think I'll have Jarrod take her there next time!

Please continue to pray about Jarrod's job situation. His last day at his job is friday and we are still searching!

musical makayla

***DISCLAIMER*** After you play the video, a page comes up for U Tube and along the bottom it says "Related Videos." Please be aware, these videos have nothing to do with our Makayla and please don't click on them. Some of them may be inappropriate. Thanks! If you want to watch our video again, click on the "Play" button in the lower left of the video screen.

This is a video sharing Makayla's musical talent. She is in a fun stage right now where she busts out into song at various times of day. She mostly sings Twinkle, Twinkle, Jingle Bells, Itsy Bitsy Spider and Happy Birthday. My favorite is when she looks out the window at night, sees stars and belts out twinkle, twinkle. It's very cute.

While we were out and about today, she told me that her favorite song was "Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani. Whenever she hears it on the radio, she tries to sing it. It makes me laugh.

One of her favorite things to do is to play drums with her dad. Jarrod bought a full drum kit from a friend awhile back and she loves to sit on his lap while he jams. But my favorite is on laundry day, she will play a drum solo for me, as if to spur me on, and will totally blast my eardrums out. It's great. Wish you were here!

hey everyone!

Welcome to the new blog! I wanted a place were our friends and family can come to find out what we are up to and where you can see pics of our girl more regularly than I send them out. I plan to use the blog to journal alittle about our family life and what Makayla is up to. Also, it will be a place where we can post new pics of the new baby come January.

Makayla is growing and changing more into a little girl everyday. It is so strange to have such an independent toddler. I love it! She is pro with the bathroom and wants to do EVERYTHING by herself. She is getting more and more used to the fact that she is going to have a baby brother soon. I have even heard her talking to herself about it. It was pretty cute.

Here's a couple of the most recent pics of Makayla and one of my growing belly. I'm 23 weeks and due the second week of january. Enjoy!
